Uday Kotak on the future of financial services

Sep 21, 2017
The future of financial services in India’s dynamic economy is both, exciting and disruptive.

Uday Kotak needs absolutely no introduction. He is one of the most respected finance professionals in the country.

Always a visionary, he refused a lucrative opening at a multi-national firm when in his 20s because he wanted to carve his own path. He visualised opening a private bank when India was still in the grasp of a closed economy. His move to acquire rival ING Vysya Bank was another astute move.

So it only deems fit that Kotak should address the audience on the opening day of the Morningstar Investment Conference to discuss the future of financial services in India’s dynamic and evolving economy.

In most developed economies, a few banks dominate the industry. India will be no exception to this trend, which means consolidation is inevitable.

But it's not just the banking industry that will go through a metamorphosis of sorts. Cognitive Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Block Chain Technology, Robotics Process Automation, and Fintech will revolutionize the future of financial services.

If the cash culture changes, the levels of efficiency and productivity too will significantly increase.

The future of financial services in this economy looks exciting and disruptive. And Kotak will present his perspective and be open to answering questions from the audience.

Do join us for the 7th Morningstar Investment Conference to be held in Mumbai on October 10-11, 2017.
