India Markets Observer

Feb 11, 2015

Normally, the start of a year is at its core a conception of new beginnings – of the prospect of doing things differently.

And that is precisely what we kept in mind when working on the India Funds Observer.  This time around, we tackled various asset classes– equity, debt, real estate, gold, currency and commodities. So much so, that we renamed the product India Markets Observer.

Earlier, we presented our readers with a view as to how the fund industry in India, and the domestic and international markets fared over the past year. While we still provide such information, we have re-positioned the content to have a distinct forward looking perspective. But no, our goal isn’t omniscience—there’s no guessing the next Sensex peak; it’s preparedness.

In a break from tradition, we also invited numerous experts from the industry to contribute their views on subjects as diverse as threats facing the economy, the future of commodity prices, how the debt and equity markets should pan out in 2015, asset allocation, equity investment and retirement. Another section specifically at adviser practices has some thought-provoking views by industry participants. (A list of the contributors has been provided below).
