Since 2009, Morningstar India has hosted the fund awards in Mumbai. Over here we take a look at who the winners were over the past nine years. Here are the fund category and fund house nominees for 2018.
In terms of the best fund house, it started off with just equity and debt with the multi-asset category being introduced later.
Where the best equity funds are concerned, what stands out is the frequency with which Birla Sun Life MNC has appeared. Funds from UTI Mutual Fund were prominent a few years ago, while Franklin India dominated in 2015.
In terms of debt funds, the categories have been reduced over the years. While we started off with five, we now have just two.
The below category awards have been terminated. But it is interesting to see HDFC Mutual Fund dominate this space.
