Prashant Jain is Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer at HDFC Mutual Fund.

He believes that with an improving economic outlook, the likelihood of lower rates and a reduction in credit spreads, long maturity gilt funds and corporate debt funds, which benefit from both lower rates and higher yields, are well placed in the fixed income space.
