Morningstar India held this year’s second Adviser Forum on February 15 in Chandigarh.

Our experts shared how advisers can optimize their client's portfolio, select the right funds for clients and how to demonstrate their value through Morningstar Adviser Workstation (AWS).

Given the plethora of options out there, it's difficult for an adviser to pick the right set of funds for a client's portfolio. Kaustubh Belapurkar, director of manager research at Morningstar India illustrated how Morningstar's Fund Analysis & Ratings can go a long way in helping advisers pick the most suitable funds from the wide fund universe. He also spoke on how Morningstar analyses and rates its funds and how advisers can use these ratings to enable them to make the right portfolio decisions.

The asset allocation decision is one of the most important factors driving the performance of a portfolio. There are various ways of constructing an asset allocation model. Dhaval Kapadia director of investment advisory for Morningstar India delved deep on the method of creating the right asset allocation for maximizing returns for clients.
