The best and worst equity funds of 2019

Jan 03, 2020

Here’s a look at the best funds of 2019. Do note, this is just a listing and NOT a recommendation. The universe of funds comprised of:

  • Growth Schemes (not dividend)
  • Regular Plans (not direct)
  • Open-ended (not close-ended)
  • Equity funds (not hybrid, not debt)

The schemes from Axis Mutual Fund are extremely impressive. When we look at the top performers in 2018 and 2019, Axis Bluechip, Axis Midcap, Axis Small Cap, and Axis Multicap have featured in both lists.

Canara Robeco Bluechip Equity (large cap), DSP Midcap (mid cap) and Parag Parekh Long Term Equity (multi cap) are also repeat performers.

JM Large Cap was one of the best performers in 2018 and one of the worst in 2019. HDFC Small Cap fell the least in 2018, but fell really hard in 2019.
