Morningstar Investment Conference: 3 superb conversations

Aug 08, 2022

We are fast approaching the annual Morningstar Investment Conference.

Our last two conferences were held online due to the pandemic. This time, we are delighted to host an in-person event and meet all of you personally. On the evening of the first day, we will host our traditional dinner.

Besides the obvious networking possibilities that an on-ground summit offers, the Morningstar Investment Conference is known for its contribution to empower investor success. It brings together some of the industry's most dynamic and engaging speakers to discuss investment developments.

Chief Guest: K V Kamath

In the world of finance and banking, K V Kamath is legendary. He transformed the financial institution ICICI into tech-savvy banking powerhouse. His awe-inspiring vision earned him the titles of the most e-savvy CEO in Asia by the Asian Banker Journal of Singapore and the Asian Business Leader of the Year.

From MD and CEO of ICICI Bank to chief of the New Development Bank of BRICS, to chairperson of the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID), he has perspective and exposure that few can lay claim to.

At the conference, in a one-on-one conversation, he will share his views on the financial climate as well as what drove him to such high degrees of success.

Optimize Health: Luke Coutinho

Some facets of modern life are largely incompatible with maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Consequently, it is imperative that the lifestyle, diet, and environment of an individual are considered when looking at holistic wellbeing, rather than focusing on the limitations of their general diagnosis.

Luke Coutinho is a Holistic Lifestyle Coach and Nutritionist in the field of integrative and lifestyle medicine. At the conference, he will share insights on integrative lifestyle medicine and how to harness the powerful intelligence of the human body and its ability to repair itself.

Climate Crisis: Dia Mirza

Climate change is exacerbating the frequency and intensity of the extreme events; be it floods, droughts, hurricanes or heat waves. In all cases, the economic cost and ecological damage is intense and multilayered. There is no country that is immune. Mitigating the effects of climate change takes a multifaceted approach with economic policy and political will playing a pivotal role. But, what about individual responsibility?

Our relationship with the rest of the natural world is consumptive, intrusive, and disruptive. The choices that we make as humans, have consequences for our contact with the rest of the natural world. We must rethink our relationship with nature and ensure that we make choices that do not lead to dangerous disruptions of diverse ecosystems. Unless we make significant adjustments to our lifestyle, we will only aggravate the crisis upon us.

Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme, Dia Mirza, talks to Bittu Sahgal, on why we cannot lose sight of the fact that our most vital relationship is with our planet.

Don't miss the conference!

In past conferences, we hosted dignitaries and renowned investors such as Nandan Nilekani, Narayan Murthy, Uday Kotak, Jayant Sinha, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Amitabh Kant, Vallabh Bhansali, Motilal Oswal, Raamdeo Agarwal, Hemendra Kothari, Sanjay Bakshi, Mohnish Pabrai, Mark Mobius, and Sri Sri Ravishankar.

We have been hosting this conference for 11 years, making it the premier investment event in the country. In terms of design, content and attendance, the Morningstar Investment Conference stands head and shoulders above others.
